Horn Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce a new service to the community. The Laboratory Department of the hospital is changing things up by offering a new MONTHLY Wellness Screening to be held the FIRST TUESDAY of each month.
“I know how hectic schedules can get. By providing a wellness screening monthly rather than just once a year during Hospital Week, we hope to meet the needs of more of our patients and ultimately promote health and wellness throughout the community,” comments Liz Anderson, Laboratory Director.
The screening will include numerous blood tests including a complete blood count, blood sugar, kidney function, liver function, thyroid function, cholesterol, electrolytes, and PSA. Patients can choose any one or all of the tests available. This service is not billed to insurance, so patients will need to pay at the time of service. A 12-hour fast is required and the screenings are conveniently done by appointment only, so patients can request a time that works within their busy schedule. Although a doctor’s order IS NOT needed, all results will be shared with both the patient and his/her healthcare provider.
